JCOAL President meeting with Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) Gurdeep Singh of NTPC

The President Tsukamoto welcomed CMD Gurdeep Singh of NTPC, India to JCOAL Office on 18 September 2026.

The leaders began by reflecting on their own exchanges as well as NTPC-JCOAL collaborations made for more than a decade, followed by enthusiastic exchange of views on decarbonization technologies for energy transition, including ones in coal utilization.

Turning to how NTPC and JCOAL can collaborate on decarbonization, they agreed on continuing discussions to identify potential areas NTPC and JCOAL will work together in close communication.

Both looked forward to further development of the collaboration.
