2nd Announcement The 35th Clean Coal Day International Symposium (2026) & The Energy Security with Decarbonization Symposium 2026
Thanks to your continued support, the "Clean Coal Day International Symposium" will celebrate its 35th anniversary, and we are pleased to announce that it will be held this year on Thursday, September 3rd, at Marunouchi Building Hall & Conference Square (7th Floor).
In addition, on the following day, Friday, September 4th, "Energy Security with Decarbonization Symposium 2026" will also be held at the same venue.

Symposium Overview
- 1)September 3rd, 2026: The 35th Clean Coal Day International Symposium (2026)
Theme: Global Energy Situation and Efforts toward Realistic Decarbonization via CCUS
We will share global energy trends along with policy and industry initiatives from countries around the world. We will discuss the role and potential of innovative decarbonization technologies including CCUS. It will also explore realistic measures and approaches to international cooperation for achieving both energy security and decarbonization.
- 2)September 3rd, 2026 (evening time) : 2026 JCOAL Welcome Reception
Participation Fee: JPY 5,500 (Including tax/ Cash only/ Receipt will be issued)
Following the symposium, a Welcome Reception will be held to provide an opportunity for exchange among speakers and stakeholders from both events.
3)September 4th, 2026: Energy Security with Decarbonization Symposium 2026
Theme: Contribution of Coal to the Stable Energy Supply
We will share the importance of the coal supply chain for stable energy supply. We will also discuss the new utilization of coal resources.
