CEFIA Flagship Biomass Webinar

CEFIA (Cleaner Energy Future Initiative for ASEAN) is an initiative to facilitate collaboration between the public and private sectors for accelerating the deployment of cleaner energy and decarbonization technology in the ASEAN region.

Showcase good practices of cooperation in introducing technology in parallel with developing appropriate policies and institutional frameworks, as well as mobilizing public and private finance (governments, private sectors, and academia)

Promotion of business-driven deployment of decarbonization technology requires both introduction of technology and policy/institutional framework. The public and private sectors will provide data and testing facilities to the partner country through feasibility study and demonstration projects, as well as conducting workshops, equipment installation, and capacity buildings.

And today, we are pleased to announce that JCOAL and CEFIA will co-host the CEFIA Biomass Webinar, a flagship event to share the latest trends, technologies, and practical cases on biomass utilization, on 14 January 2026 from 15:30 to 18:00 (JST). Registration is open until Monday, 12 January 2026- please be sure to sign up early!

This webinar will bring together government representatives from Japan, Japanese industry players, and ASEAN institutions to share insights on the latest developments in biomass utilization. Through presentations and panel discussions, the event aims to promote the deployment of technologies that align with Japan-ASEAN needs and support regional decarbonization efforts.
