Coal is excellent resource in term of the stability of supply and economy.
It is used as an extremely important energy resource in combination with other energy resources and also a raw material in the iron & steel industry and so on.
To ensure stable supply and demand of coal, it is necessary to increase the coal production corresponding to the expansion of the coal demand in the Asia-Pacific region and to continue the effort which uses coal efficiently and economically considering the environment.
JCOAL (Japan Coal Energy Center) and CCUJ (Center for Coal Utilization, Japan) were integrated on April 1st, 2005, and started the activities as JCOAL, the new and the only non-profit organization in Japan, which covers consistently all fields from the coal mining to the field of coal utilization.
JCOAL will powerfully promote the activities that can upgrade coal to more effective resources and energy and aim at the advanced and environmentally friendly coal utilization to reduce the global environment loads such as CO2 emissions, while improving the advantage of the coal that has excellent cost performance and the supply reliability.
And we ask for your kind support and cooperation to new JCOAL, opened widely. |
